History: Shion was originally the empress of the Gemini Empire in her past life. She frequently went into the front lines whenever there was a battle with other constellations. The Empress was noble and just, and had a tendency for mercy. However, when a war criminal by the name of Granz was brought to her, she ordered him sealed in a black hole for eternity. However, whatever lurked in the black hole, dubbed the Grand Mare, twisted and distorted him, until he grew powerful enough to break free and devastate the empire. The empress eventually battled him, weakening him enough to send him back into the Grand Mare, sacrificing her star seed to keep it closed. She died in the arms of the twin kings Castor and Pollux.
Reborn on Earth as Shion, at the age of 16 she came across a pair of dogs that frequently stayed in her back yard. When she went to visit her sister's arcade one day, a mysterious crystal implanted itself into one of the arcade machines, creating a monster. Time froze before things could get out of hand, as the dogs showed up and gave Shion her transformation item. While time was frozen she transformed (based on my theory to explain why transformations take so long but don't affect the tide of battle), doing battle with the creature and releasing the crystal, destroying it.
Over the past four years, Shion has trained her mind and body (When she sees fit) to investigate sightings of Grand Mare crystals whether she's in senshi form or not. She doesn't understand why someone wouldn't want to learn to kick ass without magic.

Personality: Very quirky and unpredictable. Shion likes to drop references and is a stark contrast to her senshi form. Her explanation for this is that when she's out of her senshi form she feels like she doesn't need to worry about her responsibilities that she has as Gemini--it's also implied that sometimes she can't even remember her responsibilities. To the shock of some people, Shion can suddenly become a little antagonistic.

Dislikes: Spoilsports, people who won't stand up for themselves, button-mashers
Hobby/Hobbies: Training (mostly martial arts and parkour), playing video games, befriending strangers
Other Information: Shion is a fan of Batman--despite being Japanese, getting her hands on Batman comics is relatively easy in this day and age, and Batman's her favorite western superhero. Plus she's gotten 100% completion on both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City...she just loves those stealth takedowns.

Transformation Sequence Description: ...this is hard. :T I drew her henshin elsewhere in the gallery. Anyway, it's a burst of feathers mostly. As she runs her hands down her body the corresponding pieces of her costume appear there. Her transformation theme is "Scarlet Bloodlines" from Touhouvania.

NOTE: GEMINI DOESN'T RELY ON MAGIC; SHE USUALLY FIGHTS WITH HER HALBERDS.
Heaven Dive* - Using her halberds, she creates a pair of wings as she jumps into the air, diving down at her target and slamming the blades into the ground if she misses, sending out a shockwave.
Stellar Barrier - Absorbs magic attacks and blasts them back--cannot absorb physical attacks.
Astral Storm - Creates a storm of falling stars and various other space debris. Gemini often moves in to attack up-close during this move.
Counter Blitz* - Creates a duplicate copy of Gemini, as both begin moving. If target attacks the duplicate, Gemini attacks from behind.
Celestial Finisher - Ultimate attack. Creates a space storm as Gemini charges up with stellar energy before unleashing a devastating combo attack. However, the attack grows weaker with distance.
Weakness: Gemini sacrificed high defense in favor of high attack speed. She has begun perfecting her ability to block and counter as a result, but is still not an expert at it.
Personality: In a stark contrast from Shion, Gemini is much more serious and focused, knowing she has a mission she must see to the end. Surprisingly, on occasion Gemini will be a little snarky.
